Empires of the Undergrowth

Lead your ant colony to supremacy! Empires of the Undergrowth is an ant colony management game in the style of a fast-paced real-time strategy. The player digs his nest underground and builds tunnels and chambers to store food and raise his brood. On the surface, the ants claim their territory, gather resources, overpower fearsome arachnids, and fight against other colonies. Nest construction, size and composition of the army, as well as the timing of attacks are crucial for victory. Missions are told from the perspective of a documentary filmmaker who studies the ants and offers intelligent insights into the goings-on in the colony and in the undergrowth. The primary game mode in Early Access is Formicarium, in which you take control of a colony of unique DNA-harvesting ants that work to assimilate the desirable traits of their enemies. You can improve them by playing unique missions, sometimes with your own colony and sometimes with other ant species.
