Ember is a tribute to classic role-playing games (RPG) and has been a passion project for 10 years. Enter the world of Ember as a resurrected "Lightbringer" tasked with protecting the dying embers as the world teeters on the brink of collapse. Beginning in the deep burial mounds, you'll traverse vast environments divided into above and below ground - from lush forests to arid deserts to dark chasms - to reach the City of Light. Experience how the story unfolds through encounters with strangers, as you make important decisions about your own destiny.
Story
In the earliest days, there was no sun and the world was dark. The heavens opened and stars fell like beacons into the pitch black world, known as "embers". Powerful and wise druids of a primeval race, "the Lightbringers," roamed the land in search of this luminous matter. They performed an awakening ritual to bring the "embers" out of their deep sleep. Suddenly the world became bright and the veil of darkness was lifted. The Embers were the embodiment of the magical flame, light and life, but as word spread of the sheer power of the Embers, they were hunted down and captured.... and so began the war for the Embers....
