Dune: Imperium
In "Dune: Imperium," you take on the role of one of the leaders of the Great Houses of the Empire in the struggle for control of the planet Arrakis and the priceless Spice it produces. The game spans ten rounds, each marked by a new conflict on the planet’s surface; some yield vital resources, while others grant you victory points that lead you to dominance. But choose your battles wisely: if you spread your forces too thin, your opponents will become too strong for you to stand up to them. Each round, you draw five cards from your deck into your hand, which grows stronger as the game progresses as you acquire new cards. Each card can be played in two ways: Either you send an agent into the Empire to gather resources, or you reveal it at the end of the round to purchase new, powerful cards. You must strike a careful balance to make the most of the resources at your disposal. How will you find your way? Throughout the game, you’ll compete for influence with four factions of the Empire: the Emperor, the economically powerful Space Guild, the mysterious Bene Gesserit, and the wild Fremen from the deep deserts. Gaining influence with these different groups helps you earn the victory points you need… but will you compete with your rivals for their favor, or abandon alliances to pursue other opportunities? Many strategies are at your disposal, and there are many paths to victory. The cards have been dealt. The choice is yours. The Empire awaits you.
