Dragon Quest V

Dragon Quest V uses the basic role-playing mechanics of the series, such as leveling up by earning experience points in battle, first-person turn-based combat, and equipping weapons and armor. New to the Dragon Quest series is the ability to tame monsters into the player's party. The monsters can be used in combat and level up just like the human characters. Sometimes, after the battle, the monsters ask to join the hero if the party is strong enough. There are 71 monsters in total that can join the hero's party
