Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3
With the third installment of the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series, another tournament of champions begins, in which only one fighter can be victorious. As one of the characters from the Dragon Ball Z animated series, you'll be able to master a brand new combat system that lets you teleport, juggle enemies, fly and attack in different ways. As you advance in the tournament, you can unlock up to 40 bonus characters from the DBZ universe. You can also post and retrieve character profiles from the Internet.
Story
The story mode in Budokai 3 takes place on a world map called Dragon Universe. This mode consists of 11 playable characters that travel around Earth or Namek during the four main sagas of Dragon Ball Z - Saiyan Saga, Frieza Saga, Cell Saga and Majin Buu Saga - collecting items such as money, capsules or Dragon Balls, or unlocking other characters for the other game modes. The different characters are each unlocked by completing a specific task in Dragon Universe (for example, Dr. Gero is unlocked when you defeat him together with Yamcha in the Android Saga). The Dragon Universe has a high replay value, as the events in the game can change from playthrough to playthrough. For example, in Goku's first playthrough, most of the story proceeds as in the anime. However, in subsequent playthroughs, certain decisions can lead to Goku's fight with Frieza becoming a fight with Cooler instead. These decisions can even lead to events such as the fight against Broly and Omega Shenron after the fight against Super Buu. With eleven characters you can play in story mode and different choices for each character, Dragon Universe has a much higher replay value than previous Budokai games.
