Disney's TaleSpin

Disney's TaleSpin

"TaleSpin" is a side-scrolling shooter based on the Disney television series "TaleSpin." The game was developed by Capcom for the NES in 1991 and ported to the Game Boy in 1992. The Game Boy version is essentially a slightly scaled-down version of the game. The NES version of the game was included in "The Disney Afternoon Collection" for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in April 2017. The gameplay involves maneuvering Baloo’s plane, “The Sea Duck,” through each level, fending off attacking enemies, and avoiding obstacles. You can collect items to gain extra lives or increase your total score. The plane can be flipped upside down to traverse the level in reverse, though only in horizontally scrolling sections. At the end of each level, you must battle a boss by repeatedly shooting at its weak spots. After completing a level, you can use the money you’ve collected to buy upgrades for Baluo’s plane before moving on to the next level. In bonus levels, you control Kit on a hang glider to pop balloons and collect bonus points.

Story

Baloo and Kit are still employees of Rebecca Cunningham at Higher for Hire. She looks in the newspaper and finds that the mayor has announced a flying competition with a lifetime employment contract for Cape Suzette as the prize. She shows it to the others, who then decide to take part. But Shere Khan from Khan Industries is also interested in the competition. The town clerk announces that Higher for Hire and Khan Industries have been selected for the competition, with Shere Khan's company taking first place. They successfully complete their run, giving Higher for Hire just seven days to win. Baloo and Kit must now collect 10 crates of cargo from 8 countries around the world, evading Shere Khan's henchmen and Don Karnage's airstrikes.
