Devil Dice
"Devil Dice" is a unique puzzle game in which you control a little devil who runs around on a grid covered with large dice. You can stand on the dice as well as on the ground (in which case the dice tower above you). When you’re standing on a die, you can jump from die to die or roll a die in the direction you’re running, causing it to reveal a different face as it spins. If you form a group of adjacent cubes with identical numbers—the total number of which must match the number on the cube—these cubes slowly sink down into the playing field before disappearing. Chain reactions are possible by adding more cubes to a sinking group. In some modes, different types of dice with varying properties are available to make the game more challenging. It was originally developed by Shift on the “homebrew” platform Yaroze and later converted into a commercial game. Released in 1998, the game is one of only a handful that made the leap from Yaroze to commercial release. The game is a million-seller, and on November 7, 2007, a demo version was released as a PlayStation Classic title for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable.
