Demolition Man

"Demolition Man" is a game based on the 1993 film of the same name. You take on the role of John Spartan (Sly Stallone), who is thawed out of cryo-prison into a peaceful, utopian future. Your mission is to capture your arch-enemy, the psychopathic Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), who has escaped from prison and is wreaking havoc throughout the city. The 3DO version takes a unique multimedia approach to the concept of a movie spin-off. Cutscenes and clips from the movie are inserted at appropriate points, but Stallone and actual props from the film (such as his uniform) were also used to shoot blue-screen footage specifically for the game. Stallone is superimposed onto the CD environments, thereby introducing the subsequent gameplay sequences, which loosely serve as an expanded “Director’s Cut” of the events in the movie
