Democracy 2

Democracy 2

Democracy is a government simulation game first developed by Positech Games in 2005. A sequel was released in December 2007 and a third game in 2013. The player plays as if he/she were the president or prime minister of a democratic government. The player must introduce and change policies in seven areas - taxation, economy, social affairs, foreign affairs, transportation, law and order, and public services. Each policy affects the satisfaction of different groups of voters and influences factors such as crime and air quality. The player must deal with "situations," which are typically problems such as gasoline protests or homelessness, and must also make decisions about dilemmas that arise in each round.
