Dead or Alive 4
Dead or Alive 4 is a fighting game and the fourth major title in the Dead or Alive video game series, whose storyline follows the events of the 2001 title Dead or Alive 3. Dead or Alive 4 offers 22 playable characters and many multilevel and interactive combat arenas. DOA4 has a number of updates compared to previous titles. The character movement lists have been extensively updated and four new characters have been added to the list of fighters, but some previous characters also return. The counterattack system has been streamlined so that the time window for counterattacks is shorter and more difficult to execute, and the amount of damage that counterattacks do has been changed.
Story
Dead or Alive 4 centers on the story of Helena Douglas, who, as the second chairwoman of the executive committee of the Dead or Alive tournament, takes up the fight against corruption in the organization. After losing both her father and her beloved mother to the darkness of the conspiracy, Helena decided to get into the middle of the maelstrom to put an end to the chain of tragedies once and for all. The man who holds the real power at Doatec, Victor Donovan, has once again locked himself in the bio-lab to pursue his dream of the perfect human weapon. His new project, code-named "Alpha-152," is the result of the ultimate development of hyper-clone technology, born from a DNA sample taken from Kasumi. The main storyline continues with the war between Doatec and the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan. After Ayane successfully defeats Doatec's last creation, Omega, Hayate returns to the Mugen Tenshin clan and takes the lead. As leader, his heart burns with vengeance and he sets out to put an end to Doatec. During the fourth tournament, Hayate gathers the most powerful group of ninjas known to mankind. He is accompanied by Ayane, Ryu Hayabusa and other members of the Mugen Tenshin clan; Kasumi is drawn into the events, albeit reluctantly, as she follows her brother.
