Dead Island: Game of the Year Edition

A tropical island resort becomes a place of horror after a mysterious epidemic turns most of its inhabitants into bloodthirsty zombies. As one of four playable characters, you must complete missions that are essential for your survival. This means fighting hordes of undead with various customizable weapons and searching for a way to escape the fictional island of Banoi. Dead Island offers an open world in a campaign that supports up to four players for cooperative action, which you can join or leave at any time. The two male and two female characters have different strengths and weaknesses, which can be balanced to a certain extent by leveling up. Experience points collected in combat can be used to improve a character's attributes and combat skills. When firearms and ammunition are scarce, you can fight enemies in close combat with axes, machetes, knives, clubs, and similar sharp or blunt weapons, which wear out over time. Explore the island's urban areas, forests, mountain highlands, caves, beaches, and other locations from a first-person perspective, or use the over-the-shoulder perspective for close combat. The Game of the Year Edition for Xbox 360 includes new blueprints and weapons, the original Dead Island, and its two major DLC releases: the multiplayer mode Bloodbath Arena and the single-player campaign Ryder White.
