Darkness Within 2: The Dark Lineage

Darkness Within is a series of adventure games inspired by the famous horror author H.P. Lovecraft. In "The Dark Lineage", the second part of the Darkness Within series, players once again take on the role of police detective Howard Loreid, who suffered from the paranormal events around him in the first volume "In Pursuit of Loath Nolder". Now Howard discovers that his own horrific past is connected to the madness that threatens to engulf him. This second volume brings the Darkness Within saga to its disturbing conclusion. The Dark Lineage takes you to places where the 'things' of the past still live and all the memories that should be long forgotten are still present. These include a gloomy, depressing town called Arkhamend, a Victorian mansion that hides terrible secrets, a derelict building in an eerie, snow-covered forest and sinister underground buildings and tunnels.
