Welcome to the official Advanced Dungeons & Dragons computer product Curse of the Azure Ribbons, a fantasy role-playing epic of the Forgotten Realms. This adventure game is based on the rules and background of TSR, Inc. and a story developed specifically for this game. THE CURSES OF THE AZURE BONDS adventure begins in the frontier town of Tilverton on the border between the great kingdom of Cormyr and the scattered settlements of the Dalelands. The characters begin as experienced adventurers who have been ambushed, captured and cursed with five magical bonds. Each shackle is an azure symbol imprinted just under the skin of each character's sword arm. These shackles have dangerous magical powers that can take control of the characters' actions. The characters' task in Curse of the Azure Shackles is to search the realms for the source of the shackles and free themselves from the terrible curse of the shackles.

Story

The Curse of the Azure Ribbons takes place in the world of the Forgotten Realms. The adventure starts in the city of Tilverton, a relatively small town, but one that contains all the important stores and services to equip the party. Although the characters don't have any equipment at the beginning of the game, each character receives money at the beginning of the game, which can be used to buy weapons and armor. Outside the city of Tilverton, the characters can explore underground caves, the sewers and the wilderness. Other locations include the Elven Forest, Zhentil Castle, the Temple in Yulash and the Citadel in Hap, but these cannot be freely explored by the party. Instead, the player can use a menu to select the places they want to visit. Yulash is besieged by raiders, and characters who enter the city are in danger from crumbling walls and holes in the ground.
