CrossfireX offers an intense first-person shooter experience that immerses players in an extended global conflict between the world's two most fearsome private military factions: Global Risk employs veterans of powerful armed forces who use advanced technologies to fight for order and security; Black List employs hardened mercenaries trained in guerrilla tactics who fight oppressive regimes in the name of freedom. Story
The first campaign is about a team of Global Risk soldiers in the country of Azkharzia who are to find and kill the blacklist officer, Alexander Steiner. The Global Risk team is led by Major Cavanaugh and consists of Captain Hall, Specialist Randall and Private First Class Moralez. The team storms an abandoned hotel where Steiner is supposedly staying, but soon find out that they have killed Steiner's double instead. Although the team manages to fight their way out of the hotel, Cavanaugh and Hall realize that they have been lured into a trap, as Black List was well prepared for their arrival. Cavanaugh is shot shortly afterwards and Hall is knocked unconscious by an unseen assailant. While unconscious, Hall has a disturbing vision in which he sees his own house through the eyes of another person. Hall is soon awakened by Moralez and takes command of the team.
