Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

In CRISIS CORE, players can experience the D.M.W. (Digital Mind Wave) system, which enhances the real-time combat system and allows players to unleash special attacks or summon various FINAL FANTASY incantations. Players will also be able to experience graphics and CG cutscenes with voiceovers in 16:9 widescreen format, made possible by the PSP system's hardware.

Story

Seven years before the events of the first Final Fantasy VII, the Shinra Company is rapidly expanding its influence through its monopoly on Mako energy and military power. With the burgeoning city of Midgar as its base and symbol of prosperity, Shinra is on the verge of absolute domination over the world. SOLDIER is a group of experienced male and female fighters within Shinra. The elite of the group - those strong enough to be considered SOLDIER 1st Class - are respected and revered by the citizens. Zack is a young SOLDIER 2nd Class who aspires to become a 1st Class. He spends his days completing missions under the guidance of his 1st Class mentor, Angeal. During a mission in Wutai, a large number of SOLDIER members led by 1st Class agent Genesis go missing. The gravity of the situation prompts Shinra leadership to send even more SOLDIER agents to end the war with Wutai - and to conduct an investigation into the mass exodus. Zack, Angeal and the 1st Class hero known around the world as Sephiroth are assigned to this mission.... What truths lie behind the disappearance of Genesis? What secrets bind the three SOLDIER 1st Class agents? A cruel and fateful battle awaits Zack...
