Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is the second game in the Crash Bandicoot series and the sequel to the original game. The gameplay is largely similar to that of the original. Players make their way through a limited environment, breaking open crates that contain bonuses. The object of the game is to collect 25 crystals for Crash's archenemy, Doctor Neo Cortex. The crystals are scattered in 25 different levels that are accessible via warp rooms, which are the game's hubs. A level is completed by collecting the corresponding crystal and reaching the end of the path that leads Crash back to the warp room.
Story
After the last fight with Crash Bandicoot, Cortex is thrown onto Crash's island. In a cave he finds a crystal that has great powers. Cortex plans to use these powers to create an improved Cortex Vortex that will turn all the people on Earth into his will-less slaves. But to do so, he must find 25 other crystals to power the Cortex Vortex. He recruits his old enemy Crash to find them, but Crash knows nothing of Cortex's evil plans.
