Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

After Alucard awakens from his eternal slumber due to the reappearance of Castlevania, you must once again face the evil servants of darkness. Use your vampire powers along with weapons, potions, and other magical relics to turn the tide of battle. A mix of platforming and role-playing action with many hidden areas and secrets. Can you discover them all?

Story

The game's story takes place in 1797, 5 years after the events of Rondo of Blood, and begins with Judge Belmont defeating Count Dracula, mirroring the end of the first game. However, even though Dracula has been defeated, Richter disappears without a trace. Five years later, Castlevania rises again, and although there are no Belmonts to storm the castle, Alucard, Dracula's son, wakes up from his self-induced slumber and decides to investigate what happened during his slumber. Meanwhile, Maria Renard, Richter's sister-in-law, enters Castlevania herself to search for the missing Richter. She helps Alucard several times during the game.
