Call of Duty: Black Ops is the seventh main Call of Duty game and the sequel to Call of Duty: World at War. The game differs from most previous installments, which featured a standard three-country campaign, while Call of Duty: Black Ops features two playable countries (Russia and the US) but only has an American campaign. Several new features are also introduced, such as diving and the ability to use a flashlight with certain weapons. In addition, the playable characters in the campaign now speak while being controlled by the player. Additional game included in the game: + Zork (Apple II)

Story

Black Ops is set between 1961 and 1968 during the Cold War, 16 years after the events of World at War. It depicts the secret history of clandestine CIA operations conducted behind enemy lines. Much of the campaign is told from the point of view of SOG and CIA agent Alex Mason, mainly in flashbacks. Mason awakens tied to a chair in a room full of monitors and is bombarded with questions about a numbers show by two unknown interrogators. Mason then recalls various events from the past to answer the questions, setting the stage for the game's missions.
