Bubsy 3D
Bubsy 3D is the fourth Bubsy game and the first in 3D; it was released in 1996 for the PlayStation. It picks up where the first game left off and is set on Rayon, the home planet of the Woolies. Bubsy 3D has 16 main levels and two boss levels, and the main character's goal is to defeat the two queens of Rayon, Poly and Esther. The player can collect rockets and atoms to eventually escape from the planet Rayon. The graphics are very simple, even by the standards of the time, with a thick fog covering the entire levels throughout the game. Bubsy speaks actively throughout the game, based on various actions performed by the player. Planned releases for Sega 32X and Sega Saturn were canceled. Bubsy 3D was panned by critics for its confusing controls and camera angles. It was listed in Seanbaby's EGM Crapstravaganza: The 20 Worst Games of All Time list, as well as number eight on GameTrailers' list of the 10 best and worst games of 2006, where it was described as "a terrible, terrible clone."
