Story
This game depicts the first adventure of a woman named Shelia in 2020. The 1000-year-old relic swords "Kanshou" and "Bakuya", which were discovered by SRO research, are made of a unique, multi-layered structure and contain a mysterious substance at their core. This substance, known as the "Soul of Jiu Xuan", has the ability to revive the dead. To gain possession of this substance, the "SAI" - a powerful terrorist organization that controls its own army - has used a cutting-edge technology called the "Quantum Transporter" to infiltrate the SRO research facility and steal top-secret and incredibly dangerous data. To make matters worse, while trying to calibrate the Quantum Transporter's coordinates, Shelia accidentally activates the device and transports everyone nearby to the Floating Island - a continent near the North Pole that has lain dormant undisturbed for over 1000 years. It soon transpires that the various beasts and corpses of the island's former inhabitants have been reanimated by the "Soul of Jiu Xuan" and are after Shelia...
