Can you defend your country against a great evil? As one of the five knights of Rune, it's your mission to fight the monsters and armies of an evil emperor and restore peace to a destroyed land. Once you choose your character, you'll organize your party members into attack troops and start the battle. The game is a deep and involving war simulation. Story
The war had been raging for some time, seemingly forever. In 214, the Almekia Empire finally won a victory over the country of Norgard, its bitter rival. This ended the war, but Admiral Zemeckis of Norgard still had other plans up his sleeve... The following year, 215, he assassinated King Henguist, the popular ruler of Almekia. As the overthrown king lay at his feet, Zemeckis proclaimed himself the new emperor and began a dynasty of terror. With the greed of hatred in his eyes, the new ruler named his conquered land the Esgares Empire and carried out brutal attacks on neighboring lands in Forsena. However, Zemeckis did not take into account the Knights of the Rune. These warriors are endowed with magical rune abilities and want to protect Forsena from the evil tyrant's wrath. And although it will be a tough fight against armies of monsters and elite warriors, the knights have vowed to succeed!
