Brave Fencer Musashi

Brave Fencer Musashi

150 years ago, the legendary warrior Musashi, known as a brave swordsman, saved the kingdom of Allucaneet from the evil wizard of darkness. Now his spirit has been reborn in a young, somewhat irascible boy. Fillet, the princess of Allucaneet, brings the reluctant hero into the palace and gives him the powerful sword Fusion, which he needs to defeat the evil empire of the Thirsters. Soon it turns out that the Empire is after another legendary sword, Lumina, and Musashi's first task is to get it before the bad guys do!... Brave Fencer Musashi is an action game with strong RPG elements. The player controls Musashi and explores the pre-rendered backgrounds from a third-person perspective (similar to Final Fantasy VII), visits towns, talks to NPCs, etc. There is a day/night cycle in the game, which manifests itself in the schedules of NPCs and/or monsters, as well as Musashi's fatigue level, which increases if he doesn't sleep enough. Musashi uses the two swords Fusion and Lumina to fight his enemies. The two swords have different characteristics: While Fusion behaves more or less like a conventional melee weapon, Lumina must be imbued with various elemental items to unleash powerful attacks.

Story

A boy named Musashi, the reincarnation of the legendary brave swordsman Musashi who saved the kingdom of Allucaneet from a monster called the Wizard of Darkness 150 years earlier, is summoned to Allucaneet by its ruler Princess Filet to save it from the invading Thirstquencher Empire. Musashi receives the Blade Fusion and is tasked with retrieving the sword of the valiant swordsman Musashi - Lumina, the Sword of Luminescence - before the Thirstquencher army does. Although Musashi has no intention of saving the kingdom, he agrees to return to his homeland. After Musashi recaptures Lumina, he finds that most of the inhabitants of the kingdom of Allucaneet, including Filet, have been kidnapped by the Thirstquencher Empire. In order to save all the inhabitants of Allucaneet and defeat the Empire, Musashi sets out in search of the Five Scrolls, each of which contains an elemental power that can greatly enhance the powers of the sword Lumina.
