Blades of Steel

Blades of Steel

From the first face-off, it's six-on-six professional field hockey. There are eight teams you can captain: Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Montreal, Edmonton, Minnesota, Toronto and Chicago. You can challenge a friend or compete against a versatile computer team. Besides, you can choose between three difficulty levels - junior, college and professional. Throughout the game, you'll be constantly put to the test by trying out all the intense elements of championship field hockey, from penalty and overtime scenes to knockout smash-hit fight scenes. Speed, strength, quickness and instinct are talents you must have if you want to prevail, especially when the rage flares up, the gloves come off and the fists fly. This is hard-hitting action at its finest. And you'll quickly learn that nothing is given to you in this league, and that in order to achieve your goals, you must first achieve them. You'll need to master the artistry of a finesse player and the bone-crushing brutality of an enforcer. You should also be versatile, since you'll have to skillfully control your forwards, centers, defensemen and even the goalie who defends the net against relentless power plays (which exist when you lose a fight and your battered carcass is relegated to the penalty box).
