BioShock

BioShock is a first-person shooter with a horror factor, set in a steampunk underwater dystopia. The player is encouraged to turn everything into a weapon: It is possible to biologically alter one's body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade one's weapons, create new ammunition variants and experiment with different combat techniques. The game is described by the developers as a spiritual successor to their previous PC title, System Shock 2. BioShock has been highly praised in reviews for its atmospheric audio and graphics, its captivating and original storyline, and its unique gameplay experience.

Story

In 1960, a plane crashes in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and a man named Jack is the only survivor. He is lucky enough to surface in front of a door that looks like a door to an underwater complex. Without hesitation, Jack enters the door and is greeted by slogans praising the city of Rapture, a free will paradise built in the 1940s by a business tycoon named Andrew Ryan. But even before he has internalized all this new information, his descent into this supposed paradise ends and he sees only ruins and chaos. Learning the fate of Rapture will now be Jack's main motivation as he tries to survive the horrors that freedom can cause.
