BioShock

BioShock is a first-person shooter with a horror factor, set in a steampunk underwater dystopia. The player is encouraged to turn everything into a weapon: It is possible to biologically alter one's body with plasmids, hack devices and systems, upgrade one's weapons, create new ammunition variants and experiment with different combat techniques. The game is described by the developers as a spiritual successor to their previous PC title, System Shock 2. BioShock has been highly praised in reviews for its atmospheric audio and graphics, its captivating and original storyline, and its unique gameplay experience.

Story

BioShock is set in 1960 in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where Jack, the only survivor of a plane crash, discovers the entrance to the lonely underwater city of Rapture after a civil war that destroyed most of this utopia. He finds himself in an alien world and has no choice but to fight for his survival against the Splicers, degenerate citizens addicted to the genetic material ADAM, and against all the traps set by the visionary founder of the city, Andrew Ryan. His only help is Atlas, a revolutionary man who tries to escape safely to the surface with his family.
