Battlemaster

Battlemaster is a fantasy arcade adventure set in a world full of myths and feudal conflicts. The land is in decline: remote villages, towns, and castles are separated from each other by chaotic wilderness areas populated by monsters. Your task is to restore order by conquering the four kingdoms and handing over their crowns to the guardian who lives in the tower. The player decides which race to play (human, orc, dwarf, or elf), each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Then it's a matter of clearing areas of enemies and finding items to improve the abilities of your character and companions. There are many traps to avoid, and death is a constant in this game, which most people would find very difficult. The gameplay for the leader is action-oriented, with a menu that allows you to negotiate, travel, gather troops, change formations, or use items. The leader attacks with melee and projectile buttons. Some classes rely more on their teammates than others. With "Negotiate," you can buy items (but not sell them) or purchase a safe pass (skip the area).
