Ballads at Midnight

When a sarcastic bard is arrested and banished to an abandoned castle, she expects to be at the mercy of a hungry, bloodthirsty vampire. But she soon realizes that the vampire, Lucius, isn’t hungry: he’s bored to death. Perhaps she survives only thanks to a reprieve—one ballad at midnight.
