Atomic Punk

Atomic Punk

"Atomic Punk" features four game modes, including two single-player modes and two multiplayer modes. Solo: "Game A" (known as "Bomber Boy" in the Japanese version) is similar to other games in the series, but has a few differences. Power-ups, referred to as “panels,” which are typically collected in each level and carried over to the next, can also be purchased in a shop using GP. You earn GP based on how long it takes you to complete a level and how many blocks you destroy. At the start of each round, you decide which panels you want to use to complete the round. Another difference is that the original’s linear gameplay, where the player advances to the next level after completing one, has been changed to implement a world map with nine locations. The second game mode, "Game B" (known as "Bomber Man" in the Japanese version), corresponds to that of the original Bomberman game; however, the play area is square instead of rectangular, and the screen is always centered on Bomberman instead of scrolling when he touches the edge. Vs.: Panel mode, in which players can initially place only one bomb at a time and the explosion radius is one unit, and in which “Bomb Up” and “Fire Up” panels appear. Powerful Mode, in which players can place four bombs at once and the blast radius is four units, and in which no panels appear.
