Atomic Punk

Atomic Punk

Atomic Punk has four game modes, including two single-player and two multiplayer modes. Solo: "Game A" (known as "Bomber Boy" in the Japanese version) is similar to other games in the series, with a few differences. Power-ups, called panels, are usually collected in each level and carried over to the next level, but they can also be purchased in a shop with GP, which is earned based on the time it takes to complete a level and the number of blocks destroyed. At the beginning of each round, the player decides which panels to use to complete the round. Another difference is that the linear gameplay of the original, where the player advances to the next level after completing each level, has been replaced by a world map with nine locations. The second game mode, "Game B" (known as "Bomber Man" in the Japanese version), is similar to the original Bomberman game, but the playing area is square instead of rectangular, and the screen always remains centered on Bomberman instead of scrolling when he touches the edge. Vs.: Panel mode, in which players start with only one bomb that they can place at a time and a bomb explosion length of one unit, and in which Bomb Up and Fire Up panels appear. Powerful mode, in which players have four bombs that they can place at a time and a bomb explosion length of four units, and in which no panels appear.
