Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland is a Japanese role-playing game developed by Gust. It takes the series' alchemy-based gameplay and expands it towards exploration and discovery. Atelier Totori is the twelfth installment of the Atelier series and focuses the series on item synthesis. The game is the second part of the Arland series and a direct sequel to Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, and takes place five years after the end of Atelier Rorona. It will be followed by Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland.

Story

The small fishing village of Alanya on the southern border of the Republic of Arland is home to Totooria Helmold, a young alchemist-in-training. She is called Totori by her friends and family and wants to become a great adventurer. One day she decides to travel to Arland, become an adventurer, and explore the world beyond her hometown. On her journey of discovery, she will make many friends - some new, some familiar. At the end of her journey, your actions will determine whether she finds the answers to her questions, forges unbreakable bonds with her friends, or takes completely different paths.
