Arkanoid Returns

Arkanoid Returns

Arkanoid Returns is an arcade game released in 1997 by Taito as part of the Arkanoid series. It was the fourth game in the series and the third to be released in arcades. The game was later ported to the PlayStation and an updated home version titled Arkanoid R 2000 was released. All versions were released exclusively in Japan. This makes it the only game in the series that was never released internationally. The enemy known as "DOH" still hasn't gotten the message and decides to attack again after many years of silence. The spaceship "Vaus" should be ready to face new yet familiar challenges to stop "DOH" once again. The gameplay remains similar to Arkanoid: Doh it Again, the previous game in the series released for the Super Nintendo, as it features the same power-ups, some reused level designs and the same playing field size. The original arcade game contains only 50 levels, with the environment changing every 9 levels.
