Andre Agassi Tennis
A game supported by the American player who stunned the tennis world in the early 1990s with his "image is everything" look, long hair, earrings, and colorful shirts: Andre Agassi Tennis features eight players (male and female, with Agassi being the only real player, as expected) who are rated according to their speed of movement and the accuracy and power of their serve, backhand, and forehand. The gameplay includes all the usual shots: smashes, passing shots, volleys, and all kinds of backhand and forehand shots. Unlike other games, however, precise positioning and good timing are crucial to avoid the ball landing outside the court, the racket swinging into thin air, or, even more embarrassingly, the ball hitting the player in the head. There are three courts available: grass, clay, and indoor (the Sega versions add a fourth, hard court), but the differences between them are minimal. Game modes vary depending on the version, with the 16-bit versions including a "Skins" game where each point is worth a sum of money based on the number of times the ball is hit.
