Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

"Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey" is a single-player survival game played from a third-person perspective in an open world. Players control a member of a hominid clan and must meet their basic needs—eating, drinking, and sleeping—while facing predators and other dangers in the wilderness. Exploring new places and the feeling of being hunted can trigger a state of fear, which is balanced by rewarding actions such as crafting tools and making discoveries. As the clan learns and grows, you’ll unlock new abilities through a neural development system and can switch between clan members, passing on acquired skills to future generations. The game doesn’t have a structured story campaign; instead, it lets you shape your own experience.
