Amagon
Amagon is a Nintendo Entertainment System platform sidescroller developed by Aicom in 1988. It was heavily criticized and never achieved a high level of recognition among game critics.
Story
The player takes on the role of Amagon, a marine stuck on an island after a plane crash. The player must guide Amagon through the island to reach the rescue ship, defeating a series of enemies - including the final boss, who is modeled after the "Flatwoods Monster", an alien that supposedly lives in Flatwoods, West Virginia. The original Japanese version differs in that the main character is not a marine, but a scientist named "Jackson" who transforms into his macho man form with the help of a special drug.
