Aion 2
Aion 2 is set 200 years after the PC game "Aion: The Tower of Eternity." A key feature is the appearance of dimensional rifts, which allow players from different servers to participate in large-scale PvP battles. Gliding and wings will undoubtedly be a signature element of the game series. NCsoft even claimed that Aion 2 will have features that couldn’t be realized in the PC game, and that their vision for the game is “no longer just a dream.” Those are pretty big words. Perhaps the biggest difference is that (due to the timeline) the two opposing factions, the Elyos and the Asmodians, no longer exist. Players can freely choose whether they want to invade or defend other areas. Another surprise is the claim that there will be no “class divisions” in Aion 2, allowing players to wield various weapons and choose their playstyle without restrictions. NCsoft claims that Aion 2 “will introduce a new combat system that didn’t exist in the original Aion.” Finally, another major change is the removal of the gliding restrictions from Aion. Although this wasn’t explained in detail, NCsoft aims to integrate gliding into the combat flow to create a “three-dimensional combat system.” NCsoft hasn’t mentioned which engine Aion 2 is being developed on, but I’m guessing it’s the Unreal Engine 5. Stay tuned for more updates on the game!
