Aeon Flux

Aeon Flux

This is the 2005 version, not to be confused with the other two aborted adaptation attempts. Coinciding with the film's release, developer Terminal Reality was commissioned to create a game based on the film. The team had only ten months to complete the game - a relatively short time for a console game that is not a sequel (especially in 2005), as it had to be released in time for the movie's theatrical release. Terminal Reality rose to the task and managed to develop a complete Æon Flux game in less than a year. This was partly due to the fact that the developer developed much of the game using an engine he had already built for his previous title, BloodRayne 2, which drastically reduced the development time. Nine years after the first unsuccessful attempt and five years after the second, the game Æon Flux was finally completed and launched in November 2005.
