Actua Soccer 2

Actua Soccer 2

Actua Soccer 2, or sometimes Actua Soccer 98, was one of the many soccer titles released due to the 1998 World Cup and again featured national teams, but a more sophisticated engine (optimized for 3D graphics cards in the PC version), (in some versions) the complete Italian Serie A league and a new 'scenario' mode ensured good sales and mostly positive reviews. It also included a team creation mode that allowed players to create up to 128 teams of their own. Barry Davies was joined by Trevor Brooking as commentator and England captain and striker Alan Shearer not only appeared on the cover, but also gave press interviews about the game. Michael Owen and Simon Tracey provided motion capture for the players. The game also featured menu music and a guest appearance by Welsh rock band Super Furry Animals, which could only be activated by entering a cheat code. Actua Soccer 2 also shipped with Creative Technology's Voodoo 2 graphics cards, which contributed to its widespread distribution and popularity.
