ActRaiser 2

ActRaiser 2

ActRaiser 2 is a side-scrolling platform game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Quintet and published by Enix in 1993. The game is a sequel to the original ActRaiser, but the storyline is not directly related to its predecessor; however, many plot details indicate that ActRaiser 2 is set before the events of the original ActRaiser or in a completely different universe. Otherwise, the story is based on the famous religious epics Paradise Lost and Divine Comedy. Unlike the original game, which alternately combined platform and divine sequences, ActRaiser 2 is a pure platform game.

Story

Tanzra was cast into the underworld by the Master after his defeat in ActRaiser. Tanzra's demonic followers captured the body of their slain leader and eventually resurrected him over thousands of years. Now, with Tanzra and his thirteen demonic leaders threatening the world, the Master must once again face off against the forces of darkness - with all-new powers and abilities.
