40 Winks
40 Winks (also known as "Ruff & Tumble") is a 3D action platformer in which you play as Ruff or Tumble, two kids who have to fight ghosts, goblins and other monsters in their dream world. They must try to capture 40 Winks scattered around the world to stop an evil old man named Nitekap. Nitekap wants to turn the Winks into Hood Winks, which are responsible for nightmares. You must also find the 12 dream keys to unlock the boss level. A unique aspect of the game allows players to temporarily transform into different costumes with special abilities. Costumes include a prehistoric man, a jester, a superhero and a ninja.
Story
Get some sleep before you dive into this action-adventure - you'll need the rest before you embark on an epic quest to find the last 40 naps in the world of dreams stolen by the evil NiteKap. The search for the guardians of good dreams (and the defenders of bad nightmares) takes players through six huge 3D worlds, from a pirate cove to a moon populated by wild dinosaurs, intergalactic aliens and many other characters straight from the subconscious. Just like in the "real" dream world, players can transform themselves into different characters with special characteristics. Do you need stealth? Slip into the role of a sneaky ninja warrior. Feeling super? Fight the bad guys as a strong action hero. To successfully master the levels, you'll have to jump, swim, shake your butt (better seen than explained) and much more. It's not just another action adventure - it's the game of your dreams! Players take control of either Ruff or Tumble, a brother and sister sleeping and trying to free 40 "winks" from a man named Nitekap and his accomplice, Threadbear. "Winks" are small, white creatures that make dreams, and "Hoodwinks", which are green and similar in size, are responsible for the nightmares.
