We Love Katamari

We Love Katamari

We Love Katamari is a third-person puzzle action video game in which the player controls the prince, the 5 centimeters tall son of the god-like being King of the Cosmos, who rolls around with a "katamari", a magic ball that binds objects smaller than him. In each level, the player must collect objects to fulfill the objectives set by the prince's father.

Story

We Love Katamari tells two stories: a self-referential story about how the king of the entire cosmos reacts to the unexpected success of Katamari Damacy, and an origin story about how the king of the entire cosmos became the king of the entire cosmos, met his wife, and had his son. Reaction to the success of Katamari Damacy: After achieving his goal of recreating the stars in the sky, the King of the Cosmos was surprised to find that he had many fans on Earth. Thus begins We Love Katamari, in which the King of All Cosmos tries to fulfill the wishes of his fans, with the help of his son and his son's cousins, who are back on Earth and roll things up into a Katamari. The origin of the King of All Cosmos: The story of the King of All Cosmos is told in the cutscenes of We Love Katamari, which are inserted between the stages of the game. The King of All Cosmos was not always the king. His father was the previous King of All Cosmos (also called the Emperor of All Cosmos or Papa). The future King of All Cosmos grew up either on Earth itself or on a planet very similar to it, in a huge castle on a hill surrounded by green fields. (Although at the beginning of the game we are supposed to believe that all the action takes place in a world called "The Great Cosmos").
