UFO: Afterlight
UFO: Afterlight takes us to Mars, where a human colony was established with the help of the Reticulans, not long before the events of UFO: Aftershock took place. The Martian base is self-sustaining and provides everything that humans need to survive on an alien planet, especially breathing air, water and food. Although the humans inhabiting this colony have the technologies and knowledge they need to continue their development, their survival is their greatest concern. Their only activity is the exploration of a nearby archaeological site that proves the existence of an ancient, intelligent and highly advanced alien civilization.
Story
The story is set on Mars. It starts where UFO: Aftermath left off and runs concurrently with UFO: Aftershock. While the Laputans on Earth fight wargots and starghosts and figure out what caused the destruction of their home planet, a small colony on Mars tries to survive and thrive. The player learns more about the activities of intergalactic organisms called Myrmecols in the solar system. Scientific research and communication with different factions on Earth give him a different perspective on the events of the previous two episodes. In UFO: Afterlight, players will encounter brand new technologies, an unusual environment and old and unknown enemies.
