Treasures of the Savage Frontier

At the beginning of the game, your group of adventurers has just won a great victory over the evil Zhentarium forces in the ancient city of Ascore. But there is still trouble in the land. Far to the southeast, the dwarves of Llorkh are fighting for their lives, having launched a rebellion against their Zhentarim masters. The black-cloaked forces of evil are waging a fierce counterattack to hold the last Zhentarim base in the Savage Frontier.

Story

A few weeks after the events of Gateway to the Savage Frontier, the mage Amelior Aminitas magically summons the party (now called the "Heroes of Ascore") to drive the (seemingly) last remaining forces of the Zhentarim from the dwarven city of Llorkh. Afterwards, the group is given a seemingly simple mission - to protect ambassadors of the "Alliance of the Lord" that binds together the various cities of the Frontier. However, the ambassadors are kidnapped, the Zhentarim and their allies (the Kraken Society and the Hosttower of the Arcane) plot to break the Alliance in order to conquer the region, and the group is accused of being traitors. A large part of the game involves the players trying to clear their names (usually by completing a mission in each city of the Lord's Alliance) and informing the Alliance leaders of the conspiracy. The final mission (which doesn't necessarily fit into the overall plot) is about recovering a treasure that a dragon possesses. To uncover the conspiracy, the player must collect two different types of items: Three different colored crystals held by one of the three enemy groups (the Zhentarim, the Kraken and the Hosttower). You can only do this if you carefully select the different enemies in close combat and attack them in the right order. "Lucky papers" from every city in the game. These papers are actually lucky charms, but in combination with the crystals they reveal the entire plan of the enemy.
