Star Wars

This game is based entirely on the first Star Wars movie, Episode IV: A New Hope. At the beginning of the game, an animated movie scene from the first part of the film is shown. The player then takes control of Luke Skywalker and drives the landspeeder over Tatooine in search of R2-D2. Luke Skywalker explores various locations on Tatooine and fights numerous enemies, including Jawas and Stormtroopers. The game includes many locations from the movie, including the Chalmun's Cantina in Mos Eisley, where Luke meets Han Solo for the first time. This part of the game features a classic 8-bit version of the "Cantina Band" theme played by the fictional band Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes in the movie. The game also includes many famous lines from the movie, including Obi-Wan Kenobi's request to Luke to accompany him on his journey to Alderann, and Han Solo's description of the smell from the Death Star's trash compactor. The player eventually lands on the Death Star and must destroy the tractor beam to escape. The game also includes first-person scenes where you pilot the Millenium Falcon through the asteroid field that was once Alderaan, shooting down Tie-Fighters in both the Millenium Falcon and an X-Wing fighter. The game's finale features an overhead view of Luke Skywalker's X-Wing flying through the trenches of the Death Star. After the player successfully shoots a torpedo into the Death Star's exposed exhaust port, a cinematic sequence is shown in which the Death Star explodes and Luke Skywalker is awarded a medal on Yavin IV. The game featured the characters Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Princess Leia, R2-D2 and C-3PO. However, Darth Vader and Chewbacca, who play an important role in the movie, do not appear in the game.
