Story

In the remote mountains of Colorado, horror awaits at Mount Massive Asylum. The long-abandoned home for the mentally ill was recently reopened by the "research and charity division" of the transnational Murkoff Corporation and has been kept top secret ever since.... until now. Acting on an anonymous tip, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility and discovers a terrifying boundary between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies in the terrible truth that lies at the heart of Mount Massive. Outlast is a true survival horror experience that aims to show that the most terrifying monsters come from the human mind.
