IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey is based on the large-scale air battles and military ground operations of World War II. Players can take part in some of the most famous battles of the war, controlling fighters, fighter planes and bombers in a series of exciting missions. There are six theaters of war - the Battle of Britain, Stalingrad, Ardennes, Berlin, Sicily and Korsun - representing the most important air battles of World War II in Europe. IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey also features an all-new damage effects engine and advanced environmental graphics that enrich the gameplay. Players will be able to see the damage to the aircraft such as holes in the wings and the trajectory lines during aerial battles in real time. IL-2 Sturmovik: Birds of Prey features hundreds of aircraft participating in the aerial battles. The unique environment engine also creates highly detailed, realistic landscapes that allow players to see breathtaking action on the ground.
