The PSP versions are a port of the original Japanese PC game with the rhythm bar removed. The 2015 release is a remastered version of the original PC game. The game had to be remastered for the 3DS, "Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure." It is a port of the remastered version, modified to better fit the system's controls and use the 3D function. Story

"Gurumin" stars Parin, a strong-willed girl who is sent to live with her grandfather in a small mining town. Soon Parin discovers an invisible monster village hiding behind her house. She is quickly drawn into a battle between the friendly monster inhabitants of the village and the Phantoms, evil monsters who want to destroy them. When she learns of a weapon hidden beneath the village that only she can use, Parin sets out to stop the Phantoms and restore order to the world. "
