To best experience such a huge and detailed world, the game has installation requirements for the Xbox 360. Grand Theft Auto V comes on two discs; Disc 1 is used for a one-time mandatory installation and Disc 2 is used to play the game. After installation, players will be able to play both Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online without having to switch discs. The initial installation requires an Xbox 360 hard drive or an external 16 GB USB flash drive (sold separately) with at least 8 GB of free space. If you use a USB flash drive, it must be at least USB 2.0, have a read speed of at least 15 MB/s, and be formatted for use on the Xbox 360. It is recommended that you use a new USB flash drive to ensure optimal performance.
