Fate/hollow ataraxia

Fate/hollow ataraxia

Fate/hollow ataraxia is a Japanese visual novel game and the sequel to Fate/stay night. The word ataraxia in the title is a Greek term for rest, which gives the title the combined meaning of "empty (or false) rest". The plot of Fate/hollow ataraxia is set six months after the events of Fate/stay night. Like its predecessor, the story is set in Fuyuki City. Bazett Fraga McRemitz, a member of the Mages' Association and master of the Fifth Grail War, awakens on the fourth day of the Fifth Grail War with a new servant, Avenger, and no memory of what happened to her before. She and Avenger set out to fight and win the Holy Grail War.

Story

The plot of Fate/hollow ataraxia is set half a year after the events of Fate/stay night. Meanwhile, Shirō Emiya lives a peaceful life with all his friends from the Fifth Grail War. After one of her experiments changes time and space, Rin Tohsaka travels to the Mages' Association in England to set things right. The servants sense a new danger, while dark creatures appear shortly after. Shirō sets out as a precaution to make sure no one is in danger, and instead keeps running into a mysterious girl, Caren Ortensia. Both Bazett and Shirō find themselves in a time loop that lasts four days, beginning on the fourth day of the Fifth Grail War. Each time they die or survive four days, they wake up on the first day of the loop knowing what has happened to them since the beginning of the first time loop. Determined to end the loop, Bazett, Avenger and Shirō struggle to find out the truth behind the cause of the endless four days.
