Drakensang: The Dark Eye

Drakensang is a third-person party role-playing game based on the pen & paper role-playing rules of The Dark Eye. Drakensang is the first PC game in over 10 years to be based on Germany's most successful and popular role-playing system. Drakensang is built on the Pen & Paper rules as used in version 4.0. The developers have optimized the ruleset specifically for the PC implementation to make the game more accessible. But the essential qualities and depth of the original rules have not been compromised.

Story

The main character receives a letter from an old friend named Ardo, who now lives in Ferdok and asks for help. On the way there, the main character reaches the hamlet of Avestrue and learns that she needs the word of two respected people to get into the city. The characters Rhulana, the Amazon, and Dranor, the thief, are met here. Once at Ferdok, the character learns the reason for the access restrictions. Recently, Ferdok has been shaken by a series of gruesome deaths, and Ardo is one of the victims. Thus, a lengthy investigation begins to find the connection and put an end to the murders. It turns out that they are the work of the Dragon Cultists, an ancient cult that serves Ardakor, an ancient evil dragon.
