Drake of the 99 Dragons

Drake of the 99 Dragons

Drake of the 99 Dragons (also called Drake) is a third-person shooter cel-shading style video game developed by Idol FX and published by Majesco Entertainment. It was released on November 3, 2003 for the Xbox and on June 14, 2004 for Microsoft Windows PC systems. The game is about Drake, an undead assassin who wants to avenge his murdered clan, the 99 Dragons, by retrieving the ancient "Soul Portal Artifact" from his adversary Tang. Tang wants to use the artifact to collect the souls of dead beings and supply his undead cyborg army with them. Idol FX wanted Drake of the 99 Dragons to kick off a multimedia franchise that would include comics and a possible animated series. However, the contract they signed with Majesco gave them only six months for development, leaving little room for playtesting and leaving the game unfinished. For this reason, it is often considered one of the worst games of all time.
