Discworld

Discworld is a game published in 1995 by Teeny Weeny / Perfect 10 Studios for PC (later Mac and Playstation). The game was released both on floppy disk and on CD-Rom. The latter included a commentary team consisting of many veterans of famous Brit-Coms. These included Eric Idle from Monty Python, Rob Brydon from Radio 4 (who later became even more famous), former Doctor Who John Pertwee, 70s pop singer Kate Robbins and Blackadder star Tony Robinson. The game is a nod to the Discworld title Guardians, Guardians, though many elements of the text have been changed, not least the inclusion of Rincewind as the protagonist. The game included puzzles that were considered far too difficult and obtuse for gamers of the time, but the game itself has left a lasting legacy and is accepted today in emulators like SCUMMVM.
