Dead or Alive

Dead or Alive is an arcade fighting game by Tecmo from 1996 for the Sega Model 2 (2A CRX and 2B CRX) arcade hardware and the first game in the Dead or Alive series. It was ported to the Sega Saturn in 1997. A limited edition with an artbook was also released for the Saturn. An improved version with new characters was released for the PlayStation and later ported back for the arcade under the title "Dead or Alive++".

Story

A huge corporation called DOATEC (Dead or Alive Tournament Executive Committee) holds a fighting competition called Dead or Alive World Combat Championship, where fighters from all over the world can compete for the title of champion and a huge amount of money.
